JAW Designs is a one-man "company" I have created in order to maintain a freelance career in Graphic Design. Ever since being a small child I cannot remember a time when I was not in some way being creative. Throughout my life I have always been an artistic person, and graphic design brings together all the best of my creative interests into one area: Color, art, type, form and function. I have a BFA (Bachelor's of Fine Arts) in Illustration and Graphic Design. I graduated in 1997 from Kean College of New Jersey, which is where I grew up. In the future, as well as maintaining a successful career in the graphic arts, I hope someday to return to school for my Master's Degree. I would secretly love to attend the University of Reading in England, which is currently one of the only Universities in the world which offers a MA in Typeface Design and Typography.

Jukebox is an independent type foundry I have created to design and sell my type. It is a branch of JAW Designs, which occupies a fair amount of my time (and love). Although I really came to understand type and its importance as a college student, I can remember being influenced by type designs when I was as young as 4. I remember the feeling I would get even at that age when I would see a letterform or typeface that evoked a certain emotional response in me. I guess it seems only natural for me to become a type designer myself.
